Live, work, and play in Alberta SouthWest!

Live, work, and play in Alberta SouthWest!

Our fifteen communities have attracted and retained many people for the lifestyle they offer. Within our Region there is two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, a National Park, multiple Provincial Parks, an International and Provincial border and many recreational activities.

The teacher to student ratios are favourable, most people have access to a family doctor, and the oft missed small town hospitality remains alive and well here.

Alberta SouthWest is becoming increasingly connected to the rest of the world with 5 communities having high speed fiber optic networks to the home and businesses enabling residents and businesses in these communities to satisfy all of their connectivity needs. This creates opportunities for people who want to live and work in small communities and can telecommute for their work.

    Tour our Region in Photos

    Tour our Region in Photos

The Alberta SouthWest Region contains an abundance of scenic backroads, big sky views, and ever changing landscape to appease every photographers wishes.

Paddle on a mountain lake draped in thick fog listening to the sounds of the forest nearby. Focus in our the smallest of wildflowers as you tour through one of the most diverse regions of flora and fauna. Look up to the dark skies and marvel at the Milky Way and numerous constellations. Take in the 180 degree views of the Rocky Mountains and of the prairies, briefly intercepted by the rising foothills.
